Kodak’s i1440 is the top of Kodak’s i1400 range, offering scan speeds of up to 75 pages per minute, an automated document feeder for 150 pages and a recommended daily scan cycle of 15,000 documents. The i1400 range features high performance scanners for unusual documents – and they’re designed compact enough to sit comfortably on a desktop. You can scan anything up to A3 width through the i1440’s straight-through paper path and imprint documents with tracking information after they’ve been scanned. However, what’s the difference between the i1440 and the i1420? The Kodak i1440 can:
• Automatically switch between colour and black and white scanning during jobs with Toggle patch.
• Automatically extract and output photos as separate image files
• Can learn up to three irrelevant background colours to drop out of scanned files.
• Scan documents up to 6.1m in length with ‘Long Document Mode’.
